Meet Solomon Israel
Solomon Israel has extensive experience leveraging new technologies to transform businesses and organizations. Some highlights include:
As President of the Board of Trustees for Ann & Nate Levine Academy he partnered with the CEO to create the annual work plan, led and executed the strategic planning process, then developed and executed a multi-year technology strategy.
As Chief Technology Officer for SkyMax Network, a greenfield 5G operator in Sub-Saharan Africa focused on closing the digital divide, he developed product and technical roadmaps and business plans to secure revenues and enhance enterprise valuation.
As a Consultant for a school district he took over a 4G Private LTE pilot program, coordinated with other government entities to support coherent digital equity programs across jurisdictions, performed internal readiness assessment, quantified, and documented requirements and use cases, acquired and developed tools to measure performance and finally developed an expansion RFP on modern design principles resulting in a projected 50% TCO reduction.
As Vice President of Business Development for Ericsson’s TV & Media Management Practice in North America. In that capacity Israel lead a team that oversaw and supported customer engagements, specifically focused on Media Companies and MSOs, including consultation and end to end solution development in the area of Video and Media Management. Solomon holds patents in Quality of Service Enablement for OTT Applications, Providing Identity Correlation for Over The Top Services, and Methods of Emergency Media Alert Preemption (EMAP).
Over his 30 year career with Ericsson Israel has held a number of leadership positions both domestically and internationally including: Head of Consumer & Business Application Development, Vice President SI Solution Sales, Vice President of Mobility Solutions, Vice President Client Development for the Ericsson Microsoft Mobile Venture, and Director, South America Operations for Ericsson’s messaging systems division. In these roles, Israel has focused on generating new business growth, and improved customer responsiveness.
Prior to joining Ericsson, Israel held management and engineering positions for GE, Computer Technology Associates and Texas Instruments.
Israel holds a MS degree in the Management of Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, a B.S.E. degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania Moore School of Engineering.
